When a demon stole the book of Brahma, the creator of the universe and hid in the underworld, mother Baglamukhi was born to kill him. The Pandavas built the temple of the mother during their exile and offered Ma Baglamukhi Puja. For the victory over Ravana first and then Lanka, Shri Ram worshiped Shatrunashini Maa Bagla and got victory. Mother is also called Pitambari. According to Pandit Ji Nalkheda In Hindu mythology, Maa Baglamukhi is ranked eighth among the ten Mahavidyas. Mother was born after worshiping Brahma.
